Mckae Nielsen

Scouring the web in search for Mckae Nielsen, it wasn’t the hardest thing to do actually. Mckae was one of the first people to come up when I searched his name on google. I think a big reason for it is because he is from Utah and Cache Valley, and my laptop knows my location. When I first found Mckae I looked up his Facebook page and that gave me a lot of information right off the gate.

            First, what stood out to me was that he was into music. His cover photo on Facebook is him singing in what looks to be at a venue. He is the one with the microphone so he is obviously a singer in the band, whether he is the lead singer is still a mystery to me. I found out that the type of music he likes is heavy metal/ scream-o. The reason I say heavy metal is because the type of music he shares on Twitter is heavy metal, and another type of music he shared was scream-o. I’m not too sure about the differences in this type of music but it is what he listens to and performs. In many of his photos he is seen playing the guitar, he even posted a video on Facebook about his own version of a song that he likes.

            Second, I noticed that he is from Cache Valley. Facebook and LinkedIn helped in this search. He is from Wellsville, Utah which is not far at all from Logan. He attended high school at Mountain Crest, and is now a senior at Utah State. Given his year as a student in USU he probably graduated from Mountain Crest around the same time I did so probably between 2013-2015, give or take. I noticed that we had 28 mutual friends and comes to show how small Cache Valley really is. I’m sure we have crossed paths before but never noticed it since we both have lived in this valley our whole lives.

            Third, I can tell he enjoys food or at least enjoys working around it. I found out that Mckae has worked for Village Inn, a diner on the outskirts of Logan. He moved his way up the ladder at Village in going from a server to an assistant manager. He also works for Firehouse Pizzeria, where he also started as a server and is now an assistant manager. On his LinkedIn it states that he is still working at both locations and has been for over 3 years, talk about a busy life. He also works with Iron Gate Grill on the catering team, which he is still working at.

            Finally, He works for an Undergraduate Journal up at USU so he is very much into media. His major is Communications Studies with minors in English and Psychology. The journal he works for allowed me to find a little more about him since he is a part of the staff and they introduce each of their staff members. He is SinkHollow’s social media manager, which really ties into what we have been talking about in class and who we are having for our guest speakers today. His bio at sink hollow vaguely states everything I have in this post and also told me that Mckae enjoys googling pictures of baby bears.
            In conclusion, Mckae is a rad dude that enjoys good music, food, and social media. An ideal candidate to succeed in today’s society. He stays true to his roots being from Cache Valley and continuing to stay in the valley as his studies take him farther in life, Good luck Mckae you seem like a chill dude.
